The BMW M4 GT4 completed an impressive debut season in the hands of BMW customer teams in 2018. BMW Customer Racing teams around the world wasted no time with the new car, taking 33 class wins and almost 100 podiums, including the one-two win in the GT4 drivers’ standings and the victory in the GT4 team standings of the British GT Championship, the GT4 team title in the Blancpain GT Series Asia and the drivers’ title in the SP10 class of the VLN. At the end of the season, the car was crowned “Race Car of the Year” at the Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards, in recognition of its impressive achievements.All along the development of the BMW M4 GT4, “passion” was the key word for the BMW Motorsport engineers. Always in focus: maximum mileage, high cost-effictiveness, ease of use and above all, easy maintenance. And now, after a whole year of competition and invaluable experience around some of the world’s toughest racetracks, the result? A sophisticated and reliable GT4 car crafted from BMW Motorsport’s entire expertise.High mileage and reliability is made possible by the use of proven production technology and innovative developments from the BMW M6 GT3. The engine and transmission, including electronic control hardware, were taken from the seriesBMW M4 Coupé. The carbon bonnet is inherited from the BMW M4 GTS. In addition, the BMW M4 GT4 has carbon-fibre doors, a motorsport-specific front splitter and rear wing, and a racing exhaust system. The seat, brakes and pedal box make use of solutions that are also included in our top offer in customer racing, the BMW M6 GT3. The interior is designed with driver comfort in mind, so that nothing gets in the way of maximum performance. The BMW engineers went in a totally new directionin terms of engine control software: the BMW M4 GT4 is the first BMW Motorsport car to be fitted with power sticks that are programmed with a variety of pre-defined engine performance levels.With the comprehensive basic package, BMW Motorsport customers receive a car that is ready for use in the GT4 category. The net price for the “Sprint” specification of the BMW M4 GT4 is 174,000 euros.**
